Crowd cheering the Tucson Senior Olympics Entry Dates

The 26th Annual Senior Olympic Festival will be held Friday, January 22 through Sunday, January 31, 2010. Registration begins on October 19, 2009. Final registration deadline is January 1, 2010 (must be postmarked by).

Note: Any registration received after January 2, 2010 will be subject to a $3 per event late fee.

No registrations will be accepted after January 11, 2010 (or postmarked by).

Event descriptions indicate registration fee. Note: There is no longer an early registration discount.

Eligibility

All participants are to participate in the age category of their 2010 birthday. For example: if a gentleman is turning 60 in December of 2010, he is to compete in the 60-64 category (even though he will be 59 at the time of competition).

New Registration Option

In addition to mail-in and walk-in registration, there is now a new option of registering on-line or by phone.

Note: Team/Doubles Registration cannot be done over the phone through EZEE-REG.

Entry Information
 

Individuals

Individual participants must complete the Individual Events Entry and Waiver Form. Submit the completed form along with appropriate payment for total participation fees.

Teams (3 on 3 Basketball, Bocce, and Volleyball only)

Team captains/managers must submit the following items—

Note—Team members wishing to also register for any individual activity must do so by completing the Individual Events Entry Form. Submit completed form along with appropriate payment of fees.

Doubles Sports (Badminton, Bridge, Croquet, Pickleball, Pinochle, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, and Tennis only)

Doubles sports (Badminton, Bridge, Croquet, Pickleball, Pinochle Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, and Tennis only) are now considered a doubles event and you must register using the doubles entry form.

Refer to the Schedule of Events and Map to avoid scheduling conflicts and to allow transportation time between events.

Entry Confirmation

Confirmations will be mailed/e-mailed to all participants and teams. If you have not received your confirmation by January 15, 2010, please call the Senior Olympics Office.

For team/doubles events, only the captain/team manager will receive the confirmation.

Participants should bring their confirmation with them to all their events as proof of registration.

Entry Fees
 

Individuals

Fees for events are listed on Event Briefs. Fees for additional items (pins, t-shirts) are listed on the Individual Events Entry Form.

Teams (Baseball, Basketball 3 on 3, Bocce, Softball and Volleyball only)

Team entry fees are as follows:

  • Basketball 3 0n 3, $60
  • Bocce, $24
  • Volleyball, $100

Fees for additional items (pins, t-shirts) are listed on the Team Entry Form.

Doubles Sports (Badminton, Bridge, Croquet, Pickleball, Pinochle, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, & Tennis only)

Doubles Sports fees are as follows:

  • Badminton, $14 per doubles event (per team)
  • Croquet, $12 per doubles event (per team)
  • Pickleball, $12 per doubles event (per team)
  • Shuffleboard, $12 per doubles event (per team)
  • Table Tennis, $12 per doubles event (per team)
  • Tennis, $14 per doubles event (per team)

Fees for additional items (pins, t-shirts) are listed on the Doubles Entry Form.

Refunds

Any amount of overpayment will be retained as a donation, unless a refund is requested prior to the entry deadline. Refunds will not be granted after the entry deadline, January 11, 2010 (or postmarked by).

Any underpaid balance must be submitted upon notification.

In January you can expect cool mornings and sometimes warm afternoons. In case of inclement weather we will make every effort to continue the competitions as scheduled. However, Senior Olympic Festival reserves the right to postpone or cancel events due to inclement weather.

No refunds will be given as the result of circumstances beyond our control.
